Analisis kesalahan siswa dalam menyelesaikan soal problem solving dengan materi aritmatika sosial

The purpose of this study was to find out students' mistakes in solving story problems with Social Arithmetic material. The subjects in this study were to use a limited sample of class VIII students at one of the junior high schools in the city of Cimahi. This research method uses descriptive qualitative. The results and discussion of this study found that the highest achievement indicators were indicators in item number 1, namely solving daily problems related to selling prices, buying prices, profit and loss with the percentage of achievement of 93.33%, whereas, the lowest percentage of achievement is an indicator in question number 6, namely solving problems related to buying and selling, profit and loss, discounts, single interest and taxes with a percentage of achievement of 10.95% and it can be seen that the mistakes made by students on social arithmetic material are viewed from student errors in Understanding the problem in the question, student carelessness is the main difficulty of students in solving questions such as student errors in writing known and asked elements, then students' mistakes in drawing conclusions.
